Course Overview

Clinical Practicum II provides hospital-based clinical experience on medical-surgical units. Students care for multiple adult patients with acute and chronic conditions, develop comprehensive care plans, perform advanced assessments and procedures, administer medications including IV therapy, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds. Students refine critical thinking, communication, and delegation skills while managing increasingly complex patient loads. Clinical experiences include perioperative patients, cardiac and respiratory conditions, GI disorders, and metabolic diseases. Faculty supervision ensures competency development and patient safety throughout the semester.
